sagada echo valley and hanging coffins

hanging coffins

On our last day we planned to go to the Echo Valley and to check out the Hanging Coffins, we woke up early and walked our way near the basketball court. The day before, I’ve met Dan, he was one of the kids who offer guided tour going to echo valley and the hanging coffins. He charged P100 per pax. He was a little shy and I started making conversation with him and asked if he’s still going to school, he said yes and that he and his friends we’re doing this only during weekends, summer and whenever they don’t have classes, he said that he save some of the money and give the rest to his mother, good boy!

sagada food trip

On our first day we had our lunch at Yogurt House, it was already past 1:00PM but there were still a lot of people. There were a lot of dishes to choose from and we settled for their java chicken and beef curry and of course I tried their famous yoghurt and ordered 1 serving as Jayjay’s not that much of a yoghurt fan. They have a big serving and if you’re not that much of an eater 1 serving will already be good for 2. It was not that marvelous but it was good and very tasty, we paid P385 for our lunch and make sure not to come here if you're too hungry as it takes some time to serve your food.

sumaguing cave adventure

sumaguing cave

There are several organizations offering guided spelunking in Sagada and we decided to go with SAGGAS, we were hoping that we’ll met a person or two whom we can share the guide fee but good thing we did not met anyone as it will be more fun and you’ll learn a lot if the two of you has 1 guide. Gareth  was our guide from SAGGAS and it cost P500 for minimum of 4 persons.

trek to bomod-ok falls

Bomod-Ok Falls
After having our breakfast on our second day, we rode a jeepney going to Bangaan in front of Eduardos Building which cost us P20 each and after 15 minutes we were already at the information center of the Bomod-ok Falls. We met Princess with her mother on the jeepney and they asked us if we’re going to the falls and asked us if we want to divide the P500 guide fee, but of course! We registered our names and off we trek! The first section of the trek was downhill and there was a part where you can see the top of the falls but it was still far from where we are. After 30 minutes we arrived at Fedelisan village where we were given a new guide Ate Martha and this is where you pay the guide fee of P500 plus P10 per head for the environmental fee, that was P135 each for the four of us. There’s also a comfort room where you can freshen up and they let you borrow their bamboo sticks that you can use as a trekking pole.

summer end with my BFFs

summer end

How to end your summer? Spend it with your closest friends you’ll surely have a blast.

I started summer with my family and spent most of it with Jayjay and ended it with my closest friends.  I’ve known these people for years and have been my closest friends for the past decade of my life. I consider myself as blessed with friends but there will always be those few closest to your heart.

snorkeling at the twin rock marine sanctuary

twin rock marine sanctuary
After having our rest at the information area from our Mt.Gulugod Baboy climb, we prepared ourselves to the snorkeling side trip at Twin Rock Marine Sanctuary. The information center has a parking lot for those who wish to bring their own car and a CR (pero naloka ko me malaking bintanang walang tabing!) We also pass by the carinderia to get the lunch we have reserved. We then went down to Philpan Dive Resort where the boat will pick us up.

our bday climb – mt. gulugod baboy

our bday climb!
I have been planning last year to start 2012 with a mountain climb however there were already several trips planned for the first quarter and it might not be practical and money-wise to climb. Last year I also told myself to at least go out once a month, good thing that our bday month is free and we have not set any plans yet. I have been following several climbing group for the last few months and comparing them. As much as I want to do DIYs, I personally believe that climbing a mountain would be a different thing and that’s when I decided to join with wowtrippers’ mt. gulugod baboy hike and swim trip.
